On April 1, the Town of Highlands enacted a 5% occupancy tax on hotels, which include the Village of Highland Falls, Fort Montgomery, Bear Mountain State Park and Historic West Point. The Thayer Hotel is one of the hotels subject to this new tax. We are obligated to collect the additional 5% tax for the Town of Highlands. Please know that hotel personnel are not equipped to answer questions about this new tax.
